2011-2012
ABC and NBC open up new comedy nights. Each network scores FOX and CBS score a new sitcom hit. NBC continues to have disastrous Mondays and Wednesdays in the Fall. Veteran programs House, The Office, Desperate Housewives, and Community continue to slide in the ratings, and two of them end their runs. The X Factor isn't a megahit, but leads FOX to a demo win in the Fall for the first time, and helps stabilize FOX's year-round schedule. CBS continues to be strong on every night except Sunday, and orders only a few midseason replacements. ABC finally gets a drama hit (or two), as well as something that sticks at 8pm on Tuesdays: a sitcom starring Tim Allen.

THANK YOU TO YOU
Ed put up a nice Thanksgiving thanks post yesterday. It's ironic that he thanked me for helping with the design since I removed all the design on this site the night before. When I figure out how to add some links to this template, Spotted will be right there. I read his posts every day, and he is my primary ratings source.
An explanation is in order. I intended this site to do several things, and it does none of them currently.
1. Post daily 18-49 ratings, including cable, on one page.
2. Be a continually-updated resource for historical ratings and scheduling information.
3. Highlight upcoming episodes, especially on less-watched channels like The Hub and PBS.
Oh well. This site has turned into a blog. But I have a plan.
Anyway, on the TV side of (not having a) life, my Black Friday thanks go to Ed, James, Rubbercat, and the dickheads at TV By the Numbers.
And the people who pad my page view stats by clicking on google images.

November Boredom
I've been bored.
So bored that I watched the last five episodes of "Parks and Recreation." The guy from "Party Down" is the only grounded person on the show. I can't buy anything else about it. Ron Swanson is an okay character, but I can't worship him, internet.
So bored that I watched the last five episodes of "The Office." It remains frustratingly stupid. Nobody buys Andy as the boss. It has become less a comedy, and more a psychological study of ten cast members who know their careers are over.
So bored that I watched the last five episodes of "Modern Family." Each episode is still a fast-paced blob of three hack storylines. Chinese Toddler is funnier than everyone but Al Bundy.
So bored that I watched "Suburgatory." Dallas is the greatest character, and somehow, I do buy Larry David's TV ex-wife as a southerner. Nobody does any work on this show, but that must be on purpose, right?
So bored that I watched "New Girl." The Thanksgiving episode was pretty great, and Bones Girl is a good actress. I wish Not Damon Wayans Junior was interesting.
So bored that I wrote this.
