IF Pay TV customers were to pay all $27.5 Billion of the networks' new 9-season NFL contract, how much would this NFL Tax be?
$27.5 Billion / 100 million subscriptions = $275 per subscription. $275 / 9 seasons = $30.50 per season = $2.55 per month.
Deadline says: "In order for all of the media partners to break even under the new contract, Miller Tabak analyst David Joyce estimates that the average pay TV subscriber would have to pay $11.23 a month..."
Someone's doing some sleight-of-hand.
