The Middle fell a whopping seven tenths from its one-hour season premiere last week. The Neighbors dropped more than a point in its regular timeslot. Guys with Kids rose two tenths from last week. and The X Factor held steady.

Programming Notes

FOX delayed the return of Touch until January. It will probably take the place of Fringe. Kitchen Nightmares returns when Touch was supposed to: Friday, October 26, at 8pm.

The pilot of Nashville is now available on hulu. It premieres next Wednesday at 10pm after Suburgatory a full hour of Modern Family.

ABC Family renewed Pretty Little Liars.

Netflix will release all 13 episodes of its first exclusive series House Of Cards on February 1. That way, it will be easier to see the subscriber bump it produces.

THR: "Year over year, GMA's premiere week is up two percent in total viewers and four percent in adults 25-54. Today dropped 21 percent in viewers and 28 percent in the demo."




SPOARTS


The MLB playoffs begin Friday with the debut of the Wild Card Games -- one game that determines each league's fourth playoff team. It will be a doubleheader on TBS at 5pm and 8:30 Eastern.

Miguel Cabrera won baseball's Triple Crown, "leading the American League in home runs (44), batting average (.330) and runs batted in (139)." The last time that happened, it was by Carl Yastrzemski in 1967, when there were ten fewer teams.

The NHL officially canceled the first two weeks of the season (Oct. 11 - 24).
