IFC will air all six episodes of the first season of Bullet in the Face over two nights: Thursday, August 16, and Friday the 17th, at 10pm-11:30. The violent "pulp comedy" stars Max Williams, Eddie Izzard, and Eric Roberts.

FOX wants the National Geographic Channel to become on of those channels, and may convert Speed into the long-awaited FOX Sports Network.

CTV (Canada) has unveiled its Fall schedules for CTV and CTV Two.

A Letter From An Angry, Disenfranchised TV Viewer

I have never been more shocked at the blatant disregard for those outside of the commercial-watching class, it completely blows me away. I never believed that watching a TV show meant so little to networks nowadays unless the viewer also watches the commercials.

This is very troubling and I wonder if the people who zap the commercials know that they are being discriminated against -- do advertisers really believe that those who don't watch their ads won't try anything new or don't buy anything -- or is it really the Nielsen system that is outdated, not tracking correctly who is watching what. It really is a shame that high quality television programs will be canceled just because people change the channel during commercial breaks.

Getting rid of '30 Rock' because some of us don't watch the commercials is pathetic. We are people too! The writing is outstanding, the plots hilarious, and the characters unforgettable. It is shameful that '30 Rock' is heading into its final season. It may not appeal to commercial viewers, but it is the commercial skippers who have all the money these days. (We spend 1/3 less time sitting on the couch watching commercials.) To cancel a show that has such wit and intelligence is deplorable. Most television shows either question our integrity or are just plain stupid. Reality shows really aren't reality and the rest are too sleazy. So, so sorry to hear the series is ending.

For years, I've wondered, "Who would buy Fringe?" Today, we have an answer. Not SyFy. Not TNT. Not FX. Not USA. Not Spike. Not A&E. Not ABC Family. Not AMC. Not Lifetime. Not My Network TV. It was The Science Channel. Another WB property, Chuck remains unsold.

Starz will air every episode of Spartacus in order, on Friday nights, 9pm to midnight, June 8 through August 10.

That '70s Show will run on yet another channel, TV Land, starting June 1. The other channels include Nick, ABC Family, MTV, as well as local broadcast stations. It's airing on NickToo as I type this.

The Daytime Emmys will air on HLN, a channel less-watched than CNN. The previous two editions, broadcast on CBS, were time-lease, effectively paid programming.

FOX won May Sweeps, and the season for the 8th consecutive time.

The Daily Show and The Colbert Report return on Monday Tuesday after two weeks off.

Futurama returns on Wednesday, June 20. HBO's The Newsroom premieres on Sunday, June 24. Wilfred and Louie return on Thursday, June 28. Weeds and Episodes return on Sunday, July 1. Here's a giant list of premiere dates for the Summer. Dallas reboots on TNT on Wednesday, June 13. Breaking Bad returns for the first 8 episodes of its final season on Sunday, July 15.

Sitcom Tallies

ABC and NBC have thrown a bunch of sitcoms on the air these last few years, but next season, the bulk of them will start in the Fall, instead of mid-season. CBS has stubbornly refused to be trendy, and did not expand their sitcom hours, even though they have four tent-poles and two strong in-betweeners. FOX has gone from two sitcoms to four.
