CW Renews Three Series That Lose Less Money
"The Vampire Diaries," "Supernatural," and "90210" were renewed. All three have posted series lows this April.
"The Vampire Diaries" has ranged from 1.6 to 1.0, while "90210" has rated 0.9 to 0.6. "Supernatural" has stayed at 0.8 or 0.7 all season, with one series-low 0.6.
Noticeably-absent veteran "Gossip Girl" has rated 0.7 to 0.5, but Variety says, "sources indicate the series will likely get an additional 13-episode order to mark its last season."
3OT NHL Game Watched by Millions
NBC PR: "Last night’s Rangers-Capitals game was watched by 1.85 million viewers, making it the most-watched Semifinal game ever on the NBC Sports Network (formerly VERSUS) and the most-watched Semifinal on cable in 12 years, since May 1, 2000 (Col-Det; Game 3; ESPN). . . . Through six days, average viewership for the Semifinals on NBC Sports Network is 1,224,000, up 50% vs. the same time last year 816,000."
Excuse of the Day
Average TV viewing dropped 1.5 minutes per day...
THIS MAY BE THE RESULT OF LEVELING OFF AFTER A PERIOD OF SUSTAINED GROWTH, WEATHER, AND ECONOMIC FACTORS, OR OF OTHER VIEWING OPTIONS.
