Daytime Shuffle, Fall 2012
Every September, most of your local stations debut new daytime series and drop others. ABC moved General Hospital to 2pm, and gave ABC affiliates 3pm and 4pm, so that they would pick up their in-house syndicated talk show, Katie, at 4pm. More than 4/5 of the affiliates did. Out goes temporary fill-in, Good Afternoon America. The CW dropped Dr. Drew and brought in Bill Cunningham from syndication. NBC tossed Ann Curry off the anchor couch of Today and brought in Savannah Guthrie. CBS changed nothing.
