True Blood was the top show of the night with a 2.8. A pair of Family Guy reruns won the night on broadcast, a few tenths above new episodes of Secret Millionaire and Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition, which were up from last week's series lows.

Programming Notes

HBO's Boardwalk Empire will return with 12 episodes, to premiere on Sunday, September 16, and Treme will return with 10 episodes, starting on September 23.

Syfy renewed Total Blackout for 16 episodes, to premiere in November.

Ernest Borgnine finally died. TCM will capitalize on Thursday, July 26.
