CW is formed by Time-Warner and CBS merging The WB & UPN. Though some UPN and WB programs would not have been canceled otherwise, none were picked up by another network or cable channel. MyNetworkTV is formed by NewsCorporation to provide primetime content to local stations left empty-handed by the UPN/WB merger. MyNet tries telenovelas, for half a season.
